California’s fruit picking experience

California's Central Valley is a massive swatch of fertile land used to grow crops all year round despite regular and often prolonged heat and hot weather. The beautiful cold mornings/nights and sunny afternoons are great for some of the best fruits like apples, cherries, oranges, pomegranates, strawberries, blueberries, peach, plums and you name it!

CHERRY PICKING

Outlining here my first farm fresh cherry picking experience in May. We drove upto the Brentwood area of California which has more than 50+ cherry farms. Specifically we entered the Mike's Cherry Farms - Mikes U-pick for a nice walk and cherry experience.

Do check out their facebook page before visiting as they regularly update the status of the cherries there.

There is no entry fee and free bags available at the entry. You will only be charged for the cherries that you take home (roughly $4/lb)

Here are some glimpses of the experience.
