Vermont's Country Side Retreat

Nestled on the top of Andover Ridge, at an elevation of 2500 ft, "Moon Hill Retreat" is the last house on the hill sitting on a 3 acres of lush green wooded area.

May it be summer fall or winter, the views of the Green Mountains cant get any better from this mountain top home. One is close to 4 ski resorts (Okemo, Stratton, Bromley & Magic Mtns) & Green Mountain National Forest ALL within a 30 min drive.

If you like exploring the woods, hiking, watching sunrises and sunsets, or even shopping for antiques from the nearby country stores; Andover, Vermont won’t disappoint you.

THINGS TO DO

HIKES:

• Mount Ephraim is a 4.3 mile out and back trail

• The Lost Mine Trail is a 2.1 mile loop trail

• Butternut Hill Loop is a 1.9 mile loop trail

• Lowell Lake is a 3.1 mile loop trail

• Buttermilk Falls Trail is a 0.5 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail that features a waterfall and a pond perfect for spring, summer and fall colors

SKI RESORTS that can also be hiked during non-snow times of the year:

• Magic : 11 miles, 20 mins away

• Okemo : 14.5 miles, 29 mins away

• Bromley : 16 miles, 26 mins away

• Stratton : 23 miles, 35 mins away

SKYLINE DRIVE:

The most famous Equinox Mountain Skyline Drive is just 34 miles from this retreat

ALPINE RIDE:

Bromley is home to North America's first triple-tracked Alpine Slide and still one of the longest slides in the world - a full 2/3 of a mile.

RESTAURANTS:

- Weston Marketplace, is only 2 miles away. This is not a restaurant but a gas station that also has basic groceries and hot food (it is owned by an Indian and keeps good home cooked Indian food)

In addition, here are some good places around the town for eat out or take out.

• Solo farm and table : Fine dining option (15 mins)

• Garden cafe and gallery (15 mins)

• Maclaomainn’s Scottish Pub : this is an excellent Scottish style food and great beers on tap (20min)

• Mudrocks on the green (30 min)

You can also lookup dining options in Manchester, VT and Ludlow, VT - both of which would be 15-20 min drive from the retreat.
